Design that plays, signed by Alexian

Some pianos enter a room, and an Alexian transforms it: breathtaking design, a warm, rich sound, and a touch that invites you back to play. Zohar Pianos is the exclusive importer of Alexian in Israel, and the pianos are waiting for you at the store and gallery, 28 Ben Atar, Tel Aviv.

You can come just to play, you can come back, and you can also start with rental.

The Alexian sound

Behind the sound stands a European tradition and a precise choice of materials. German Abel hammers - from one of the most respected hammer makers in the world - give a soft, deep touch, control of dynamics and a warm, rich sound. The natural spruce soundboard, a wood chosen for its straight grain, carries the sound forward and gives it body and depth.

The hammer is the quiet heart of every piano: a head of compressed wool felt on a wooden core, striking the strings - three strings together for most notes. The quality of the felt and the weight of the hammer shape the colour of the sound, its depth and the keyboard's response to touch. That is why the choice of Abel hammers is felt from the very first note.

In the Alexian family you will find acoustic uprights and grands, as well as digital pianos with a hammer action - for headphone practice with the feel of a piano.

The models waiting for you

Solis - an upright with a clean, modern line, 126 cm tall, with a natural spruce soundboard and Abel hammers. Available in matte white and in black, with a soft-close lid (Soft Close) and an adjustable bench with music storage.

Lumina - a crystal grand piano, with a transparent body and a cast iron frame. A work of art standing in the space.

Pulse - an acoustic grand in a one-of-a-kind design, with the option of a Piano Disc IQ system that lets the piano play by itself. Limited stock.

F series - the F5100 and F588 digital pianos, with a hammer action and a matching bench, in white and black. The F5100 comes with three grand-style pedals, Bluetooth, MIDI connections and recording.

G15 - a digital grand piano, with the look of a grand at the weight of a digital piano. Available for rentals and events.

Choosing your Alexian

The Solis suits the living room and a music room at home, with full acoustic sound at the height of an upright. The Lumina and Pulse are grands that turn a space into a gallery - at home, in a lobby or in a hall. The F series suits headphone practice and a compact corner, and the G15 brings the presence of a grand to an event or a production.

The best way to choose is to sit at several of them in the same visit: play the same piece, feel the touch, and see how each one transforms the room.

Caring for the sound

An acoustic Alexian thrives on the same routine as any piano: tuning, usually once a year, stable humidity of about 40%-50%, and a spot by an interior wall, away from direct sun and the air conditioning draft. The F series digital pianos and the G15 need only a power outlet and a stable spot, and are ready to play from the first moment, at any hour and any volume.
