What makes up the cost
The piano. Upright, grand or digital, new or pre-owned. This is the main part, and its price depends on the specific piano. Stock is constantly renewed, and current prices appear on the product pages.
Height and length. A taller upright and a longer grand get longer strings and a larger soundboard. You hear it in the depth of the sound, and it is also part of the price.
Where it was made. Brands such as Yamaha and Kawai manufacture in several countries, so it is worth knowing where the specific piano was built. The serial number tells you.
Condition and care. With a pre-owned piano, its mechanical condition and the care it has received over the years say more than the name on the fallboard or the year it was made.
